Canyoneering Class for High School Students
October 14 @ 3:30 pm - November 11 @ 5:30 pm
5-week hands-on canyoneering program designed specifically for high school students.
Grades 9–12 (Ages 14 – 18)
Students will participate in four weekly 2–3 hour classes learning canyoneering basics, including safety, gear, ropes, knots, anchors, rappelling, communication, problem-solving and teamwork.
During Week 5, students will put their new skills into practice during a supervised canyon day!
Gear – 100% of your deposit to register goes toward your canyoneering gear, including a harness, helmet, carabiners, rappel device, critt, prusik, and tether.
Registration Fee: $150 – will be applied to the cost of gear we will purchase for you. Full amount will be paid before Oct 14th.
Once registered, students will receive the detailed curriculum, class information and meeting locations.
No previous canyoneering experience is required. Classes are open to 8 students
This class will be taught by the experienced instructors of Altura Adventures.
